SWOT ANALYSIS

SWOT is an acronym for four parameters:


Strength
Weakness
Opportunities
Threats
SWOT analysis is a strategic planning technique used to help a
person or organization identify strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats related to business competition or
project planning. 
HEALTH

• Health, as defined by the World Health Organization (WHO), is


a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and
not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.
• Health may be defined as the ability to adapt and manage
physical, mental and social challenges throughout life.
• Health refers not only to the absence of a disease, but the
ability to recover and bounce back from illness and other
problems.
FACTORS AFFECTING HEALTH

• Income and social status


• Education and literacy
• Employment/working conditions
• Social/physical environments
• Genetics
• Healthy Child development
• Culture
MAINTAINING HEALTH

Factors for maintaining


health are:
• Diet
• Exercise
• Sleep
STRENGTHS

• Control of communicable/non-communicable diseases


• Cardiac diseases, diabetes, cancer, mental illness, genetic
disorders
• Prevention of blindness (Vision 2020)
• Measures to implement better maternal and child health
• To counter malnutrition
• Free cancer treatment
• Hepatitis Free Sindh Program
WEAKNESSES

• Access to health centers


• Low utilization of government health services
• Failure to cope with non-communicable diseases
• Problem with planning of project and staff appointment
OPPORTUNITIES

• Budget can be increased


• Hospitals can be build in rural areas
• Mobile health units can be formed
