HSE INDUCTION

TRAINING
PURPOSE AND SCOPE
To follow and encourage HSE
Management systems within the
facility, complying with the local
requirements.
The system is applicable in the
company premises for all staff
members, vendors, sub-
contractors and visitors.
PERSONNEL PROTECTIVE
EQUIPMENTS

 A minimum of safety helmet, eye


protection, overalls, safety footwear
and ear protection must be worn at
all times whilst in Zone A and any
other designated work area.
PPE
ZONE B - OFFICE BLOCK

 This includes administration


office, production office, mess
room.
PPE is not mandatory within this
zone.
Eating is allowed only in the
mess hall.
TRAFFIC REGULATION

 Vehicle access to company Premise is strictly


restricted.
 Only the heavy loaded vehicles are allowed in the
premises for material handling.
 Vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas
only.
 We are following Reverse parking only.
 The maximum speed limit in the premise is 10km /hr
 All road traffic laws of UAE are applicable within the
company.
 All the company vehicle should be maintain properly.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL
POLICY
 The use/possession of non-prescribed drugs, alcohol is
strictly prohibited within the work premises.
 Any person under the influence of alcohol, non
prescribed drugs must not attempt to enter inside the
gate.
 Any person found or suspected under the influence of
alcohol, non prescribed drugs may be referred to local
authorities.
 Alcohol checking will be done by safety dept. at
regular intervals.
 Its all responsibility to follow the policy at company
accommodations also.
SMOKING POLICY

 The yard & accommodations were a strict “No


Smoking” area.
 It is also strictly prohibited to carry smoking
materials within the work premises.
 Any employee found breaching the above rule
would be disciplined according to company
disciplinary code.
 All visitors are requested to comply with the above
policy.
EMERGENCY PROCEDURE

TYPES OF EMERGENCIES
 Fire
 Accident resulting in a serious injury or fatality.
 Explosion
 Gas & oil leaks, paint spills leak etc.
 Natural Calamities.
Emergency Alarm:

In any emergency the ALARM is to be raised by one of


the following methods.
 Break the glass on any break glass unit.
 Press the evacuate button of ALARM system
 Can loudly make sound for alert people in case of
emergency.
 Call the fire department number 997.
 Call Safety/Operations Dept. immediately.

EMERGENCY RESPONSE in UAQ

 In case of Alarm:
 Stop Your Job, Switch Off The Engine, Power off, gas off if possible.
 All personnel, including visitors to proceed in a disciplined way to
their designated assembly area. (out side the material gate gate),
Before approaching assembly point each employee shall look
around for any casualty or dangerous situation.
 The Production Head/ Shift Supervisor will do the Head Count.
 Safety Officer to visit the site of the incident with adequate safety
protection.
 Cause of alarm to be evaluated and rectified. Seek external help
if required from Civil Defense.
 Only on an “All Clear” given by SO – workers are allowed to go
back to the work area.

HOUSE KEEPING INSIDE
WORK PERMISES;
 EATING ALLOWED ONLY MESS ROOM
 HAND WASHING ONLY DESIGNATED AREA
 THROW THE FOOD WASTE ONLY FOOD WASTE SKIPS.
 TIFIN BOXES ONLY ALLOWED TO CARRY FOOD
 BATHROOMS SHOULD KEEP CLEAN AND NEATELY
AND AFTER USAGE CLOSE THE DOOR.
 KEEP CLEAN DRINKING WATER AREA.
