Objectives of the Work-
Study Program are to provide

A source of financial assistance for students


with demonstrated financial need;
Work experiences which complement the
participant’s education;
Services that otherwise would not exist to
the participating public institutions and
agencies.
Work-Study Requirements
Complete an error-free Free Application for
Federal Student Aid (FASFA);
Must maintain at least 2.0 GPA;
Must maintain Financial Aid Satisfactory
Academic Progress(FASAP);
Must be enrolled at least half time in an
eligible field of study;
All classes must be a part of your primary
major.
As a work study student…

You will be paid minimum wage ($7.79


per hour).
 You can work a maximum of 15
hours per week.
Work-Study Students are expected to…

Perform assignments in a serious and responsible


manner;
Follow a pre-determined work schedule;
Practice prefect attendance and punctuality;
Maintain an accurate timesheet;
Notify Human Resources, Admissions/Registration
and Financial Aid offices of any changes, i.e. name,
address, phone, exemptions, etc…
Performance Standards

You are expected to perform your duties in


accordance with the standards established by your
department.

You must work at least 10 hours per week, but no


more than 15 hours per week.

You are not allowed to work during your scheduled


classes.

 As a part of the Work-Study program you will have an


ethical responsibility to maintain a certain level of
respect for the College, its faculty, staff and students.
