PURPOSE

•The purpose of the adidas-Group Factory Auditor Certification Program is to


evaluate and develop long-term relationships with qualified suppliers who have
the quality systems, processes and organizational structure in place to
consistently meet adidas-Group requirements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

• For this program to be successful, adidas requires all suppliers to have their own, trained and accredited Factory Auditors,
reporting to the adidas TS Auditor and the supplier’s Quality Manager.

• The primary role of the CFA is to ensure all production and quality procedures comply with adidas requirements and that
products made in the factory meet the adidas quality standard and represent The Most Beautiful Sport Product.

• Certified Factory Auditor (CFA) is responsible to conduct final AQL inspection for each PO and Beautiful Audit.

CFA TRAINING

• adidas Technical Services will provide training for the selected candidates at new suppliers only.

• If Supplier has already certified FA’s, will be Supplier responsibility to organize proper trainings for the new candidates.

• An initial min 5 days classroom training will be held for the selected candidates.

LEARNING BY DOING

• After completion of the classroom training, the CFA’s will start on-the-job training.

• There will be a period where both the CFA and the adidas TS Auditor sample products for the same final audit, so that defects
found can be reviewed together.

• This will help to shorten the learning cycle by allowing quicker follow-up, whenever there is uncertainty about a defect.

QUALIFICATION PERIOD

• The qualification period will depend on experience and their ability to learn, but the CFA’s are expected to be conducting
independent final audits 3 months after the start of the training program.

• All training agenda will be reviewed with CFA during three months period by adidas TS Auditor .

• After three months of successful training, more responsibility can be passed on to the CFA’s, and the adidas TS Auditor can
conduct reduced auditing. The adidas TS Auditor needs to review all products produced by the supplier to plan and decide
which loads he/she would like to inspect him/herself. All PO’s should be inspected by CFA’s before adidas TS Auditor.

EXAMINATION

• All CFA’s will need to pass an examination before being accredited to


perform final audits on adidas behalf.

• Each CFA will be re-accredited on an annual basis.
