Johnson S-Model

Johnson's model outlines a 4 stage curriculum development process: 1) curriculum planning involving policy makers creating policy documents, 2) specification where needs analysts specify syllabus ends and means with methodologists, 3) program implementation where materials writers create teaching materials and teacher trainers develop teacher training, and 4) classroom implementation where teachers create teaching acts and learners experience learning acts. The model also identifies the decision-making roles and products involved in each stage of curriculum development.
