 telephone- n. derived from the Greek word “tele” means
“far, and “phone” which means “voice”; together in
meaning “distant voice”
 amble- v. derived from a Latin word “ambulare”, means
“to walk or walk slowly”.
 credit- n. derived from a Latin word “creditum”, which
means “to believe or trust”, or “appreciation”
 drowsing- v. means “sleeping”

-Was born on June 7, 1924 in Brooklyn
New York.
-An American writer and poet - Received a
Lamont Poetry Prize.
-”The Telephone”- It is taken from
“Counting Myself Lucky”,-a compilation of
Field’s poem.
