EVALUATING TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT Speaking Notes

Evaluating training and development is necessary to demonstrate that training objectives have been met, ensure alignment with company goals, illustrate continuous improvement, and show that training provides financial value. Evaluations are typically done through numerical ratings or narrative feedback. Numerical ratings are easy to analyze but may lack detail, while narrative feedback provides more details but is harder to analyze. Evaluations can be conducted at the end of training or later.
