UNIVERSAL VALUES

 Something is of universal value if it has the


same value or worth for all, or
almost all, people. This claim could mean two
importantly different things.
 First,it
could be that something has a universal value
when everybody finds it valuable
 Second, something could have universal value
when all people have reason to believe it has
value
Three main universal values:
1. Caring for the young
2. Murder is wrong
3. Telling the truth
CARING FOR THE YOUNG

 Children are the ones who are very vital for


deciding how the world is going to be after
some years. So if one can do some good in
the life of a child then there can be change,
at least a slightest change, in the world to
come.
MURDER IS WRONG
 "Thou shalt not kill" is arguably the most basic moral and
legal principle in any society. Because life originated with
God, human life is sacred, something which is to be
preserved.
 If life is not sacred, there would be some devastating
consequences involving personal responsibility, suicide,
abortion, and euthanasia or ending the life of a person
whose health has deteriorated. Consider the implication
of just one of these: taking another person’s life, which
we call murder.
TELLING THE TRUTH

 Tellingthe truth is never easy but, truth as


incredible power in itself and is a necessary
component for a fulfilling life. It is not only
beneficial for the person who is telling the
truth, but also for the person who is told
the truth
5 reasons why you should tell the truth:

1. Telling the truth empowers people around


you to change and grow
2. Telling the truth brings you peace of mind
3. Telling the truth is a sign of love
4. Telling the truth earns respect
5. Telling the truth creates deeper connections
