HOTEL
EXTENTION
The extension to the Peninsula Hotel was executed under
numerous constraints:
 the site’s limitation on footprint;
 the complexity of programmes and circulations;
 the imperative on preservation;
 the parallel process of hotel operation and construction.

Contemporary construction techniques and materials are adapted SOUTH ELEVATION


with the façade articulation, yet still allowing aesthetical compatibility
with the original building. The resulting design represents a NORTH ELEVATION
contemporary salutation to W.D. Goodfellow’s original neo-classical
design of 1928.

THE INTERIOR DESIGN TEAM
