Solid Waste management-IEC

This document discusses solid waste management. It defines solid waste management as the collection, transportation, disposal, recycling, and monitoring of waste produced by human activity to avoid health and environmental impacts. It describes different types of waste - biodegradable, non-biodegradable, recyclable, e-waste, and special waste - and provides examples of each. The document also discusses where different types of waste can be disposed of, such as trash bins, composting, and material recovery facilities. It notes that not all waste reaches its designated disposal place and addresses some issues caused by improper waste disposal.

MANAGEMENT
-is the precise name for the collection, transportation,
disposal or recycling and monitoring of waste. This term
is assigned to the material, waste material that is produced
through human being activity. This material is managed to
avoid its adverse effect over human health and
environment.

 Special Wastes
BIODEGRADAB
LE MADUNOT
Biodegradable waste includes any organic matter
in waste which can be broken down into carbon
dioxide, water, methane or simple organic
molecules by micro-organisms and other living

RESIDUAL WASTE MADUNOT
A Non-Biodegradable material can be defined as
a kind of substance which cannot be broken down
by natural organisms and acts as a source of
pollution. Unlike biodegradable wastes, non-
biodegradable cannot be easily handled. It is a
material that doesn't decompose or that can't be
recycled.
