SUBJECT-VERB
AGREEMENT
RULE: SUBJECTS AND VERBS
MUST AGREE IN NUMBER.

Example: VERB

LAZINESS IS THE SIBLING OF


SUBJECT
STARVATION.
 WHO,
THAT AND WHICH ARE
CONSIDERED SINGULAR OR
PLURAL ACCORDING TO THE NOUN
DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM. DO
NOT GET CONFUSED BY THE WORDS
THAT COME BETWEEN THE SUBJECT
AND THE VERB; THEY DO NOT
AFFECT AGREEMENT.
