The Musket: BY Thoryn Bue

The musket was a muzzle-loaded gun that was long and intended to be fired from the shoulder [1]. It allowed the development of many 19th century weapons and was mainly used by infantry soldiers, often with an attached bayonet [2]. Though only accurate up to 50-70 yards, the musket had calibers from 0.5 to 0.8 inches and fired lead balls powerful enough to take out limbs [3]. Over time, guns evolved from the original musket design to become safer and more effective for soldiers.

The Musket

BY Thoryn Bue
What is the Musket http://www.cherrys.com/pedpics/S298b.jpg

A musket is a muzzle loaded gun, it is long which is

intended to be fired from the shoulder. This gun allowed
many different kinds of 19th generation weapons made all
from this gun. The Musket was mainly made for infantry,
this also can come with a stand and it came equipped with a
bayonet. This comes in handy in close quarters. Typical
musket calibers ranged from 0.5 inches to 0.8 inches . The
musket can be firing at a single target but it was only http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Naseby_

accurate to about 50 yards to 70 yards. It shots a metal ball

at you the size of a larger marble. This bullet can take out
arms hands even legs, now that’s powerful. The muskets
was invented by Benjamin Franklin in Scotland at the
time of 1753.
The Evaluation of the Musket
As you see here these guns had all
advanced from one gun the
“musket’’. Over the years many
inventers have been upping the
aunty to the weapons as in making
them more and more better for the
user. In today people are now
making guns so that the soldier will
be safe behind cover and the gun
doing the dirty work. This proves
that one thing CAN change the http://www.rbgungraphics.com/21st1color432x559.gif

world.
Uses of the Guns Canadian-troops-carry-wounded-afghan[1]

There are lots of job opportunities that

come from the gun as like being a solider
for the armed forces. There are different
jobs out there but they aren't so good like
being a terrorist, a part of a gang, or just
being a mad man with a gun. But there is
always a consequence with having we
peons and same with your enemy……
Canadian-troops-carry-wounded-afghan[1] Money Maker
This is a huge money maker because the
Americans are now selling weapons to
the enemy ( terrorists )for what
Money…. This seems really stupid
because lots of soldiers had fallen
because of these dealers. There is an
other money maker, it is ammo.
The uses of Guns on the WORLD
There is a major impact of the gun
on everybody, like as you see here
these are kids learning who to use a
weapon at there age. It seems
everyone there in Iraq and in that
area has weapons in there house or
in arms reach. But there is lots of

your son out for a hunting trip,
target practice, going to the range,
and lots more ways you can have fun
with a gun without killing anyone.
Now lets go home
