• Creativity is defined as the ability to produce new and useful ideas through the
combination of known principles.
• Creativity is defined as the tendency to generate or recognize ideas, alternatives,
or possibilities that may be useful in solving problems.
• Creativity is the ability to conceive something unpredictable, original and unique.
• Creativity is a brainstorming and mind-blogging activity in which a person has to
think beyond his imagination for bringing something worthwhile.
• Creativity is a mental and social process involving the generation of new ideas or
concepts or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or
concepts.
• Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing. If one has ideas, but
does not act on them, then one is imaginative but not creative.
• Expertise—technical, procedural and intellectual knowledge—is the foundation
for all creative work.
• An individual must possess domain relevant skills or perhaps knowledge using a
technical in addition to subject relevant skill foundation.
• Domain-relevant skills include knowledge, experience, technical skills,
intelligence, plus talent inside the particular domain where the problem-solver will
be working
• creative-thinking include a new cognitive style and individuality characteristics
which are conducive to independence, risk-taking, and getting new perspectives
on issues, as well as a new disciplined work style plus skills in generating ideas
(Amabile, 2013).

they feel motivated primarily from the interest, enjoyment, satisfaction, and
challenge of the job itself – and not necessarily by extrinsic motivators.
