Assumed cause Analysis Tips / Investigation


Router Port Forward issue Check the Port number from Source/Destination and SDP IP address
- Check the IP address in INVITE and SDP at LAN/WAN.
Router SIP ALG INVITE/183SDP/200OK: Via, Contact, SDP: C-line
- Check Router’s SIP-ALG function is enabling or not.
Firewall / Security settings Check the filtering SIP, RTP port in the external Network equipment.
PBX MRG settings External IP address / MRG IP-PT, SIP-EXT port number
PBX Extension Remote Place / Phone Location
PBX SIP trunk Settings Check the SDP C-line, NAT-Off mode, RTP port range
-PBX and DSP IP address, Gateway IP, DNS, Built-in Router IP.
Network Settings
-Check whether IP address duplicate is happening or not.
Noise and delay Check access line bandwidth, adjust a Gain value on the PBX

Close the SIP port Check WAN port for SIP port (5060, 35060 or dynamic port).
Incoming: Check PBX error response
Does not allow INVITE
Outgoing: Check SIP server response
SIP negotiation error
Reference error code list and investigate the cause.
CLIP / CLIR format issue Check to allow format by ITSP, Reference CLIP/CLIR document.
Number format mismatch Check a Request-URI and Username.
Session Timer issue Check timer parameter, Refresher, Session-Expires, Min-SE.
Accounts information issue Check Username, Authentication ID and Password.
SIP-ALG Check a via header IP, Contact header IP and SDP C-line IP.
SIP parameter/format issue Check Error response and find a cause.

NS can show the CLIP from a “P-Asserted-ID” and “From header”.
Incoming CLIP priority
Priority: 1st PAI, 2nd From.
Check the incoming call trace
PBX can’t show a CLIP also CNIP when character including to

username.
PBX show a “CO-Name” when Anonymous incoming call is.
