to design Zorlu center, as
an alternative urban

in third dimension
associates with the hill of
Istanbul that was once
used as the recreation
areas of the city.
• This new built up niche,
is adopted as an urban
square that will turn out
to a new social
experience and yet, it is
erected as a new kind of
nature that will erase
the existing idea of
shopping mall.

heart of Istanbul,
Zorlu Shopping
Mall is at a very
convenient location
in terms of
transportation. All
visitors coming
from Ulus, Levent,
Levazım, Barbaros
and Zincirlikuyu
destinations may
easily reach Zorlu
Shopping Mall.

The center square
 The new soft and hard landscapes and
overlooking the city at many angles, a grand
park space, a city square is created amid the
high rises emerging through the roof-shell
which covers the shopping and recreation
zone, and the convention hall located beneath
it.

Zorlu Center, The Playground
Children love to explore and discover new
things more than anything else in the world.
The basic idea was to allow children to use
their imagination to the fullest, enjoying the
diversity of shapes and colors. The design
elements were chosen in a careful manner,
guaranteeing the most incredible play
experience for children of different ages.

bright and colorful; one can
enjoy the natural looking
environment and the
different opportunities for
adventure that are offered
throughout the park.

The landscape roof is a derivation of the
original topography by geometric surfaces.
