Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics software used for drawing, illustration and graphic design. It uses industry-standard drawing tools, flexible color controls and professional typography. Illustrator CS was the first version to include 3D capabilities. Subsequent versions included interface updates, alignment tools, multiple crop areas and live color features. The current version is Illustrator CS6, released in 2012 as the sixteenth generation. When starting a new document, the user selects the page size, orientation and color mode before clicking OK. Additional tools can be accessed by dragging a tool to the black triangle button. The Illustrator workspace includes the application bar, tools panel, control panel, document window and panels.

Starting Adobe Illustrator CS6

1. Click Start > Programs > Adobe >


Illustrator CS6. To create a new
document, click File > New. Then set
up the documents page size and
orientation.

2. When you have entered all of your


document settings, click OK.
To Tear off Additional Tools

1. Click and hold on the tool you want to


see the additional tools for.
2. While holding down your mouse button
drag your mouse to the end of the tools
to the button with the black triangle.
3. Let go of the mouse button to make the
additional tools and new toolbar.
