Introduction
English teaching among the students to be equipped with media educative and interactive. It
can help the students learning languages English everyday. The role of smartphone here is very
assist in learning as alternatives in helping teaching and learning English to the students.
Because in truth, students are now more interested learning using media.
Multimedia-based learning media is very popular the students used to interest students
learning. Approach on making learning media can be done with ADDIE model, because ADDIE
model presents the stage of approach make it easier for researcher to completed process
research. This research the researcher use Rosetta stone application for English teaching.
Why
Why the learners needs application media to learn ?
As a tool to clarify the message conveyed by the teacher. Media also functions for individual
learning where the position of media fully serves the learning needs of the learners. Clarify the
message so that it is not overly verbal. Overcoming the limitations of space, time, energy and
senses, creating a passion for learning, direct interaction between students and learning
resources, with ADDIE model this can be obtained the necessary material until the completed of
the application.

The aims of ADDIE model
Serve as guidelines to training program tools and infrastructure that are effective, dynamic and
support the training performance itself.
This model was chosen because ADDIE model is often used to describe a systematic approach to
instructional development. In addition, the ADDIE model is a general learning model is suitable
for development research. This term is almost synonymous with instructional systems
development when used in development, this process is considered sequential but also
interactive, where the results of evaluations of each stage can take the development of learning
to the previous stage.
On the ADDIE model it is analyzing the students characteristics as well material requirements
then designing the display applications in accordance with material requirements, developing
media, introduction application to the students as well as conducting evaluations for measure
the level of success students in learning. So that increasing motivation to learn as well as
students achievement.
