1.6 Quality Control
It is the integral part of chemical production and involve analysis or testing of the raw
materials and finished product for their standard specification

Most Important

 Products of one industry can be use raw material for other industries

Intermediate

Purity of raw material and product are highly important

Different industries different quality component

Degree of Purity denoted in Terms Grade – Technical, Analytical, Spectroscopic

Different industries different quality component

Sophisticated Instruments + Skill labours + Atomization

Physical Constant, Refractive Index, Colour, Odour, tensile strain

1.7 Quality Assurance
It is Complete system to assure the quality of products or services. It is not only a process
but a complete system includes quality control

Most Important – QA – Implementation of Procedure – Documented methods

 Written documentation of validation of the method and Procedure used

Method Validation

Selectivity Linearity Accuracy Precision Sensitivity Range

Limit of Detection Robustness of Method

Quality Control: Check quality of product using analytical method

Quality Assurance: Check the correct working of Quality Control
