Who are not competent employee?

 Incompetence means different things to different people, but


generally it denotes the inability to do a job to a satisfactory
standard. If an employee completes a task on time, without
errors and the way he was asked to do the work, the
employee is considered competent. If the final product goes
beyond what was asked of the employee, the employee is
more than competent. Indicators of incompetence include
work being submitted late, over budget, with errors or
requiring considerable help from others.
EXAMPLES
 Because of his incompetence, we won't make our deadline. 
Who are Motivated employee?

 Employee motivation is defined as the enthusiasm, energy


level, commitment and the amount of creativity that an
employee brings to the organization on a daily basis.
 Employee Motivation can be defined as the attitude
employees have towards their work. It is the desire and
energy that makes people continually interested and
committed to a job. It is what drives them, pushes them or
“motivates” them to achieve or even show up at work
every day.
What Are the Causes of Incompetence in the Workplace?

How to increase competence among motivated
employees?

1. Assign tasks that are personally interesting to employees


2. Provide the right kind of feedback
3. Assign tasks that are moderately and appropriately challenging
4. Encourage mastery, skill development and the learning process
5. Encourage challenging but achievable goals
6. Give praise when earned
7. Coaching
8. Job Shadowing
