WHAT IS MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE?

• Multiple intelligences are multiple intelligences that can be


interpreted as a person's ability to complete a problem. Increased
intelligence of thinking and cognitive development.

• In the beginning, there were only 8 types of dual intelligence, but


over time the knowledge and knowledge of multiple intelligences
became 9 intelligence, namely:
1. LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE (LINGUISTIC INTELLIGENCE)

• The ability to think with the ability to think with words, such as the ability to
understand and arrange words and sentences both oral and written. Individual
characteristics that show ability in intelligence are difficult to see:
a. Enjoy reading books or whatever, telling stories or storytelling;
b. Happy to communicate, talk, dialogue, discuss, and like to speak
foreign languages;
c. Good at connecting or composing words or sentences both oral and written;
d. Happy listening to music and smart.
2. LOGICAL-MATHEMATICAL INTELLIGENCE

• Mathematical logical intelligence is the ability to think in reasoning or


counting, such as the ability to examine problems logically, scientifically, and
mathematically. Characteristics of individuals who have this ability are:
a. Enjoy experimenting, asking, composing or composing puzzles;
b. Happy and good at counting and playing numbers;
c. Happy to organize things, compile scenarios;
d. Able to think logically, both inductive and deductive;
e. Happy syllogism;
f. Love to think abstraction and symbolic and collect things.
3. SPACE INTELLIGENCE (SPATIAL
INTELLIGENCE)
• The ability included in this intelligence is the ability to imagine the shape of
an object. The characteristics that show this ability, namely:
a. Happy to design drawings, designs and sensitive to images and colors;
b. Good at visualizing ideas and active imagination;
c. It's easy to find your way in space, has the right perception from various
angles and likes to make houses from blocks;
d. Get to know the relations of objects in space.
4. BODILY-KINESTHETIC INTELLIGENCE
• Kinesthetic intelligence is the ability related to body movements including motor
movements of the brain that control and use the body easily and deftly. Individual
characteristics that show ability in kinesthetic intelligence are:
a. Likes to dance and act, is clever and active in certain sports, and is easy to
express with the body;
b. Able to play mimic and tend to use body language;
c. High body coordination and flexibility;
d. Happy and effective thinking while walking, running and sports;
e. Good at assembling things into products;
f. Love to move and like activities outside the home.
5. MUSICAL INTELLIGENCE (MUSICAL
INTELLIGENCE)
• Musical intelligence is the ability to think in tones, rhythms, rhythms, and
melodies as well as in natural sounds. Individual characteristics that show
musical ability, namely:
a. Good at changing and creating music;
b. Enjoy singing, humming, and good at playing musical instruments;
c. Easily capture music and be sensitive to sound and music;
d. Can distinguish the sounds of various musical instruments and move
according to the rhythm.
6. INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
(INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE)
• Intrapersonal intelligence is the ability to think to understand yourself, and do
self-reflection. Abilities that are included in intrapersonal intelligence, namely:
a. Able to assess yourself / self-introspection;
b. Easily manage and master his feelings and often observe and listen;
c. Can work alone well;
d. Able to set goals, set goals and life plans;
e. Independent / free spirit, easy to concentrate and self balance;
f. Happy to express different feelings and aware of spiritual reality.
7. INTERPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE
(INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE)
• Interpersonal intelligence is the ability to communicate and interact with others.
Children who are easy to understand others and are concerned with relationships,
have good interpersonal intelligence. Individual characteristics that show ability
in interpersonal, namely:
a. Able to organize, become a leader in an organization;
b. Able to socialize and become a moderator;
c. Love group games rather than individuals;
d. Usually a place for pitting other people and easy to get to know;
e. Enjoy verbal and nonverbal communication;
f. Be sensitive to friends and like to give feedback.
8. ENVIRONMENTALIST / NATURALIST
INTELLIGENCE (NATURALIST INTELLIGENCE)

• Naturalist intelligence is the ability to understand natural phenomena.


Individual characteristics that show ability in naturalist intelligence are: (a)
delight in flora and fauna, farming, gardening, raising animals; (b) good at
seeing natural changes, weather forecasting, researching plants; and (c) enjoy
outdoor activities.
9. EXISTENTIAL INTELLIGENCE (EXISTENTIAL INTELLIGENCE)

• Existential intelligence is the ability to place oneself in the farthest reaches of the
cosmos with the meaning of life and the meaning of death. Existential intelligence is
more concerned with one's sensitivity and ability to answer the deepest problems
regarding human existence. People who have the intelligence of existence try to realize
and look for the deepest answers. Characteristic features :
a. Questioning the nature of things
b. Questioning the existence of one's own role in nature / the world
c. When working often talk to yourself.
d. More calm and self-controlled
e. More likely to prioritize the interests of beliefs or religion
f. Able to place themselves in every situation and environment
The nine intelligences need to be maximally developed from an early age to benefit each
of these children.
FACTORS AFFECTING INTELLIGENCE

• The intelligence of one person to another tends to vary. This is because of


several factors that influence it. The factors that influence intelligence include
the following:
1. Default Factor
2. Distinctive Interest and Characteristics
3. Formation Factors
4. Maturity Factor
5. Freedom Factors
