Critical Thinking in Philosophy: by Izaz Ali

Critical thinking is defined as the ability to think logically about beliefs and actions. It allows people to have a broader perspective and independent mindset by engaging them in logical connections of ideas. A critical thinker can identify, evaluate, and build arguments. Critical thinking enables objective problem solving by avoiding emotions and assumptions. It helps gain knowledge, improve theories, and make strong arguments by deducing conclusions and using information to solve problems. Some examples of critical thinking include observation, analysis, inference, communication, and problem solving. Skills can be improved by playing games requiring inferences, seeking diverse knowledge, volunteering, and learning from professionals.
