IPPM
We can use IPPM to monitor the Iub/Abis transmission quality: Packet loss, Delay, Jitter.
The service packet loss ratio is exactly measured by comparing sent service packets number and
received service packets number
IPPM can help to depart the wireless nodes faulty from the transmission network faulty

What is IP PM

 IP PM = Internet Protocol Performance Monitoring


 IP PM is a technique to test the transport network performance
 IP PM can measure real-time performance of end-to-end IP connection
between two wireless nodes.

Activate-RNC Side
 Configuration
 Define the IP path to activate IP PM
 Action:
 RNC side: Execute command “ACT IPPM” to activate IP PM on the specific IP-PATH

NodeB side: Execute command “ADD IPPMSESSION” to activate IP PM on the


specific IP-PATH
