The document discusses simple linear regression analysis which is a statistical tool used to model dependence of a variable on one or more explanatory variables. It also discusses least square model, slope, assumptions of linear regression analysis and estimating coefficients of regression line through examples.

SIMPLE LINEAR REGRESSION

ANALYSIS
•REGRESSION
ANALYSIS is a simple statistical tool used to
model the dependence of a variable on one (or more)
explanatory variables.
SIMPLE LINEAR REGRESSION is the least estimator of a
linear regression model with a single predictor.
LEAST SQUARE MODEL is a statistical procedure to find the best fit
for a set of data points by minimizing the sum of the residuals of points
from the plotted curve.
