Unit 9 On Holiday

The document discusses verbs and how to talk about activities in the past tense. It explains that there are two types of verbs: regular verbs that form the past tense by adding "-ed" and irregular verbs where the form changes, sometimes with a vowel change. Examples of regular ("played") and irregular verbs ("went") are provided. The document also gives examples of how to talk about past activities using simple past tense in positive ("I played"), negative ("I didn't play"), and question ("Did you swim?") sentences. Conjunctions like "and", "but", and "or" are described for linking ideas when talking about the past.
