OBJECTIVE
At the end of the week, the students should be able to:
 Use the appropriate statistical diagram depends on
the type of data collected and the purpose of
collecting the data.
STATISTICS
-is a scientific body of knowledge that deals with:
collection of data
organization or presentation of data
analysis and interpretation of data
KEY WORD!
Population- it is the total collection of all the one wishes to
investigate.
Sample- Subgroup obtained from a population.
Parameter- A numerical value that describes a characteristic of a
population.
Data- This are facts, or a set of information gathered or under study.

that display quantitative values
