Overview of Unit PVB200

This unit aims to develop strong mathematical and computational skills for physics. It will cover calculus, differential equations, and their application to physics problems. Students will learn to solve physics problems analytically and using MATLAB. The unit is coordinated by Dr. Pamela Burrage and taught by Dr. Vivien Challis for mathematics, and Prof. Aijun Du and Dr. Mojtaba Aliakbarzadeh for computational physics workshops and tutorials. Students will complete four MATLAB assignments, three mathematical physics assignments, and a final exam to assess their understanding.
