6000 77:-

Quickbooks error code 6000 77 occurs when the company file is stored in
the wrong folder. There are many reasons for this error. You have to solve
this error as soon as possible because this error might cause serious
damage to data. When this error occurs then an error message pops up on
the screen which states that “We’re sorry. Quickbooks encountered a
problem when opening a company file. Error codes:(6000 77). In this
article, we will discuss the causes and solutions to fix this issue.
Causes of Quickbooks Error 6000 77:-

-- When the company file is damaged or corrupted.


-- When you are not having sufficient authorization to the server system.
-- When Quickbooks is not updated with the latest version.
-- When the Quickbooks run in multi-user mode.
-- When multiple files are opened with reference to the mapped drive
on Quickbooks.
-- When the company file is located on an external storage device.
Solution of Quickbooks Error 6000 77:-

Solution 1:- Use the Quickbooks file doctor tool-


You can download the Quickbooks file doctor tool from the official website of
Intuit directly, or you can download the Quickbooks tool hub, and then from
there, you can use the file doctor tool to fix this issue.

Solution 2:- Configure firewall and security software settings:-


 1- Configure the firewall port settings to automatic then manually configure
the exceptions for all firewall ports.
2- Now, install an antivirus defender or configure it properly.

Solution 3:- Rename.ND and.TLG files-


1- Firstly, open the folder which has the company file then search the files
with.ND and.TLG file extensions.
2- Now, right-click on.ND and.TLG and select the rename option then add .old
at the end of the file and repeat the process for both the files. Lastly, press
enter.
Solution 4:- Recreate the damaged folder- 
1- Firstty, open the windows explorer then press Windows+R keys together and go
to C:/ drive of the system then you have created a new folder in c drive and named
it “QBtest123”.
2- Now, open the folder where the company file is located, then right-click on the
copy from the drop-down list option then you have to paste the file into the newly
created files.
3- Now, set windows to access permissions to share the company file.
4- Now, open the Quickbooks file from the new location.
Solution 5:- Use UNC path instead of mapped drive:-
1- Firstly, do right- click on the Quickbooks icon, press and hold the ctrl key and
select Run as administrator. Hold the ctrl key until you till the No Company Open
window appears.
2- Now, from the file menu select open and restore company option then select
open the company file option then select next then In the left pane, click Network
Settings, and navigate to the location of your company file.
3-Now, select the company file and click open.
