On Water Cycle With Unlocking of Difficulties

Here are the key points about the importance of the water cycle: - It provides a continuous supply of fresh water for human consumption and industrial use. This improves health and hygiene. - It supports healthy growth of animals and plants by providing a continuous supply of water. This increases food production. - It purifies water by eliminating pollutants and distributes water all over the Earth's surface. - It increases water storage as groundwater. So in summary, the water cycle is essential as it sustains life on Earth by recycling water and providing a continuous supply of fresh water for humans, animals, plants and the environment. Without it, there would be severe water shortages with negative impacts.

Water cycle – is an environmental phenomenon
that consists of three processes, evaporation,
condensation, and precipitation. It is the process
when the water continuously moved in the earth’s
surface.

Evaporation – is the process of turning from

liquid into vapor.
Condensation - is the process by which water
vapor in the air is changed into liquid water.
Precipitation – the process when the rain falls to
the ground.
Respiration -When animals breathe, their
lungs release water vapour to the atmosphere.
This is called respiration.
Transpiration – evaporation of water in plants
Hydrosphere – water part of the earth or water
sphere
Importance of water cycle
Human – continuous water supply for human consumption and
industrial use
Improves health and hygiene practices
Animal – Healthy animal growth, continuous supply of water
Plants – Healthy plant growth
Continuous supply of freshwater Increase production
of crops of freshwater
Environment – Purifies water by eliminating pollutants
Distributes water all over the Earth’s surface
Continuous supply of fresh water
Increase water storage as ground water
Direction: Choose from the box below the processes in the water cycle
being described in each sentence

transpiration respiration evaporation condensation precipitation

1. The process by which plants release water from their leaves.

2. The process by which the condensed water vapor falls back into the
earth’s surface in the form of rain, snow.
3. The process of changing water vapor (gas) into tiny droplets of liquid
water in the atmosphere.
4. The process of changing liquid into water vapor (gas), which comes from
bodies of water and living things.
5.The process by which human and animals breathe out water particles
through their lungs and when they perspire.
Directions: Using the diagram below, identify and explain the
processes involved in the water cycle.
EVALUATING LEARNING
A. Directions: Draw a smiley face if it shows importance of water cycle and
sad face if it shows effects of the absence of water cycle.
_______1. increased crop production
______ 2. withered plants
______3. continuous water storage
______ 4. healthy animal and plant growth
______ 5. water shortage
______6. less sickness in people
B. Describe the importance of water cycle.
