Pronouns take the
place of NOUNS.

PRONOUNS
Personal pronouns take
the place of the name
people or thing.
I
is a pronoun for the
person who is speaking.
Example:

I am beautiful.
You
is a pronoun for the
person spoken to.
Example:

You are handsome.


He
is a pronoun for a boy or a
male person.
Example: Peter
is a good son.

He is a good son.
Example:
Mr. Reyes is a teacher.

He is a teacher.
She
is a pronoun for a girl or
a female person.
Example:
Elsa is the Queen of
Arandelle.
She is the Queen of
Arandelle.
Example:
Princess Anna is living
in the castle.

She is living in the


castle.
We
is a pronoun for the person
speaking and other persons
with him/her.
Example:
My friends and I
will donate goods to the victims of the
flood.

We will donate goods to the victims of


the flood.
They
is a pronoun for two or
more persons, animals,
plants, objects, places or
events.
Example:
Melinda and Christina are
studying for the quiz.
They
are studying for the quiz.
It
is a pronoun for an
animal, plant, or object
only.
Example:

The cat is on the mat.

Here are the personal pronouns, followed by some example sentences:

Possessive Pronouns
We use possessive pronouns to
refer to a SPECIFIC
person/people or thing/things (the
"antecedent") belonging to a
person/people
Below are the possessive pronouns, followed by some
example sentences. Each possessive pronoun can:
- be subject or object.
-refer to a singular or plural antecedent.

INDEFINITE PRONOUN
An indefinite pronoun does not
refer to any specific person,
thing or amount. It is vague and
"not definite". Some typical
indefinite pronouns are:
