INTRODUCTION
o The power consumption controlling automation system is a dependable Circuit that takes over the task
of controlling the room electricity and power as well as counting the number of visitors in the room in an
accurate way.
o When a person leaves the room, the Counter is decreased by one number, and the lights in the room are turned off
automatically. And vice versa.
o The total number of persons in the room is also displayed on the LCD panels. this function is done using the
Arduino uno.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
o This system was created to address the issue of manual control of a room light, which requires work, wasted time,
and wasted electricity.
o The difficulty of counting the number of individuals in a room was solved. Counting the number of individuals in
a room is usually a tough process, and errors do occur sometimes.
o This system counts the number of individuals in a room while also controlling the light in the room.
OBJECTIVES
o The project is not limited to a specific application or a specific operating environment, but it can be easily
implemented wherever such an application is needed.
o The "Arduino based The power consumption controlling automation system" project is built on connecting
various components to the Arduino microcontroller, such as sensors, motors, and so on.
o The significant feature of this project is that it detects the entry and exit of visitors from a single door
itself.
LITERATURE REVIEW
o Although not identical, several researchers have done similar studies, and some of them are described below
o E.Shilpa et al[2017] has done a” Implementation of Automatic Room Light Controller with Visitor Counter
Design using 8051 Microcontroller”. This project compacts with the use of power and electricity. This project is
well-organized enough to inform someone about the record of the individuals who entered the room and exited.
o Kausik Sen et al[2015] has done a “ Automated Fire Detection and Controlling System”. In this paper basically a
low cost fire detection and control system based on smoke and heat detection is proposed.
CONCLUSION
o The proposed system is to offer a power/electricity low-cost solution for an indoor automation system.
o The system provides basic control of appliances at a fraction of the cost of commercially available systems.
o This project gives us an opportunity to do a big project in future that the whole world may benefit from, especially
countries which have electricity issues/shortage.
