• Approach–Approach Conflict
-This occurs when a person has to choose
between two attractive alternatives.

• Approach–Avoidance Conflict
-This occurs when a person has to deal with a
situation that possesses both positive as well as
negative aspects.

- This conflict occurs when each of the competing alternatives possesses negative consequences, that is, they are equally repulsive.

• "Inter" means "between" or "among"

• conflict among two or more individuals (for


example, an argument between a boyfriend
and girlfriend, or between a student and
her/his teacher, or child and parent, or
between friends/colleagues).

- Generally, line managers are responsible for managing


an aspect of production, while staff managers offer a
consulting service to managers.

• This type of conflict can lead to increased


organizational loyalty and cohesiveness
among employees.

interests and environmentalists over land use
planning), and even between two or more
countries (for example, a trade dispute between
the United States and Japan or France)
