Lesson Presentation Formal or Informal

This document discusses the differences between formal and informal letters. It begins by defining a formal letter as one used for business or official purposes, with a specific format including sender/recipient addresses, date, greeting, paragraphs, and a closing like "yours faithfully." Informal letters are more casual, like a thank you note to family. They may include features like different greetings, closings like "lots of love," and no set formatting. The document provides examples of formal versus informal letters and asks students to identify their distinguishing characteristics.
