What are the Puranas?
 The Puranas are ancient Hindu texts that tell
stories of the creation of the world,legends
of the gods, and explanations of how to
perform religious
rituals.
 The Puranas offer answers to the big
life questions by detailing how the world
was created and who created it.
 The aim of the Puranas is to impress the
teachings of the Vedas upon our minds
through concrete examples, myths, stories,. chronicles
of great historical events.

 Vamsa(tales of the gods and goddess)
