The Quickbooks error 9999 is one of the common issues users encounter when
using QuickBooks. In QuickBooks Online, Error 9999 blocks your connection to
your bank's website. An error occurs during which the system hangs, or
responds slowly, or simply stops working. It can have a significant impact on
business operations.
If you attempt to update your bank details, QuickBooks will display the
QuickBooks banking error. In this case, you have the option to self-report the
error or seek advice from QuickBooks online support professionals.
Your desktop screen might display these error messages: "Sorry, we cannot
update your account.". Please try updating again later.(9999)” Or Error code
9999 – Can’t update.
Symptoms of QuickBooks Error 9999

Methods to Fix QuickBooks Online Error 9999

Method 1:

1- The first thing you need to do is click on Report Issue from the error message.
2- You will now be taken to the Banking Transaction screen where you can enter your
name and email address.
3- Click on Submit after that.
4- Within ten days, you will hear back from the technical team.
Method 2:

1- Firstly, cancel your existing QBO account.


2- Once the account has been highlighted, click on Edit.
3- After clicking Edit Account Info, you must submit your information.
4- Once you have clicked "Save", you will be able to disconnect this account.
5- Then click Save and Close.
6- To renew the link, return to the dashboard.
7- You must now link your QBO account again with the bank account.
8- Re-enter your username and password to access your account.
9- The QBO account now shows updated transactions.
