What is STRESS?
 It is a feeling of being under
abnormal pressure. This pressure
can come from different aspects
of our day to day life.

What causes STRESS?


Stress can be caused by all sorts of situations.
The most common of these situations include:
 Work
 Money matters
 Relationship with partners
 Children/other family members
The Effects of STRESS
 A moderate amount of stress can help us perform
better, however, too much or prolonged stress can
damage our health.
 In situations that causes stress, we may feel
threatened or upset and our body might create a
stress response. This can cause a variety of
emotional symptoms leading to a change in
behavior and experiencing more intense emotions.

 Physically, prolonged stress can cause


lower immunity levels, digestive and
intestinal difficulties, or metal health
problems such as depression.
 This is why it is important to manage our
stress and keep it at a healthy level to
prevent long term damage to our body and
mind.
