In order to achieve holistic health
you need to develop and balance
all the dimension of health.

Being healthy requires not only


just caring of the physical body
but it must be incorporated with
the following aspects, mental,
emotional, social, spiritual-moral
and environmental wellbeing.

enjoy activities and to meet
emergencies.
• Develop healthful habits and

Promoting PHYSICAL HEALTH, one
must do the following:
• keep your body fit through exercising
and participating in active games
• eating well-balanced diet
• getting adequate sleep and rest
• drinking enough water
• practice cleanliness and good grooming
habits
• getting regular medical and dental
checkup and treatment
• avoiding harmful substances, such as
tobacco, alcohol and drugs of abuse

• A person can be MENTALLY
HEALTHY if he is open to new ideas and
experiences that can improve personal,
family, and community life.
• He or she is aware of his or her abilities,
can cope normal stresses in life, able to
work regularly and productively, and is
also able to contribute for the
improvement of community.

• Set realistic goals.
• Look at every opportunity with an open
mind.
• Know the demands and expectations
from you.

Refers to how well you get along with other people.

To developed SOCIAL HEALTH one must do the


following:

 make and keep friends


 play/work well with a group
 give and get help from others when needed
 communicate well and show respect and care for
yourself and others
 It is also relates to your ability to adapt comfortably
to different social situations and act appropriately
in a variety of situation

It is about how we think and feel.
It is about our sense of wellbeing, our
ability to cope with life events and
how we acknowledge our own
emotions as well as those of others.
People who are emotionally healthy
are in control of their thoughts,
feelings, and behaviors.

You can best practice these when you:
• Face life’s problems squarely.
• Handle stress and seek help, if
needed.
• Express your emotions in positive
ways.
• Deal with life’s pressures and stresses
in positive ways.
• Build strong communication network
among family, friends and peers.

values, and faith.
• It involves the quality of personal
relationship or love of nature.
• It involves a sense that life has
meaning and purpose and that
you are in harmony with your
purpose in life.

• Means the understanding of the
effect to ourselves of the air, the
water and the land that
surrounds us.
• To recognize the impact of
environmental health and
human-made hazards and the
ability to find ways on how to
protect ourselves and the
ecological system against these
hazards is important.
PICTURE ANALYSIS
Mechanics:
1.The learners will be grouped into six.
2. Each group will be given a picture.
3. They will have to analyze the picture and identify
what dimension of holistic health is being portrayed
in the given picture.
4. Each group will have a representative to explain
their answers in front of the class.
5. Each group will be given 1 minute to complete the
task.
