Function
OPFA is the 16-port FE optical interface board. It provides
16 channels of FE optical signals.
Specification
Each OPFA board provides 16 100 Mbit/s FE optical por
ts.
A maximum of 16 OPFA boards can be configured in a s
ervice subrack, providing a maximum of 256 FE optical po
rts.
Each FE optical port supports a maximum of eight servic
e ports.
Working Principle
The figure on the right illustrates the working principle of t
he OPFA board.
Function
OPGD is a 48-port GE/FE optical interface board. It supports Ethernet o
ptical access service and service upstream transmission.
Specification
Supports 48-channel (CSFP) or 24-channel (SFP) GE/FE P2P optical
access service.
Cascades and aggregates DSLAMs or MxUs.
Issues synchronous Ethernet clock signals.
Supports two-channel one-fiber bi-directional CSFP optical modules, o
ne-channel two-fiber bi-directional optical modules (SFP), and one-chan
nel one-fiber bi-directional optical modules (SFP).
Supports base station backhaul and transmits clock signals: synchronous Ethernet.

The SPUB board does not provide any port on this front panel. After traffic str
eams are forwarded to the SPUB board from the SCU control board, the SPU
B board adds MPLS labels to the traffic streams and forwards these traffic str
eams back to the SCU control board. After that, the SCU control board forwar
ds the traffic streams to the upstream port.
Supports TDM PWE3, ETH PWE3, and ATM PWE3; total 4K PW labels.
Does not support S-PE/P.
Supports board-level active/standby protection, with the service interruption time shorte
r than 50 ms. The active and standby SPUB boards must reside in adjacent slots.
Supports a maximum of two SPUB boards in the system.
Function
ETHB is an Ethernet service access board. It supports Ethernet ca
scading and upstream transmission.
Specification
Supports Ethernet upstream transmission.
Supports Ethernet cascading.
Provides eight SFP GE optical ports or eight GE electrical ports.
Supports inter-board aggregation.
Supports load sharing and redundancy protection.
