and emulation environments, future developments in emulation and
prototyping architecture specialization techniques, system communication
infrastructure.
• Target Architectures: Architecture Specialization techniques, System
Communication infrastructure, Target Architecture and Application System
classes, Architecture for control dominated systems (8051-Architectures for
High performance control), Architecture for Data dominated systems

INTRODUCTION

• Prototyping is an experimental process where design teams

implement ideas into tangible forms from paper to digital.
Teams build prototypes of varying degrees of fidelity to
capture design concepts and test on users.
• The prototype gives the customer a complete idea of how the
site will look like in the final result. Prototyping allows you to
streamline the design development process, focusing
on important interface elements. ... Having a prototype in
hand, the designer and customer more clearly represent the
final result.
• At speed or near speed ASIC emulation allows
many more test scenarios to be run, resulting
in a more thorough verification of the design
architecture before tape-out. ...
An FPGA prototype can be available before
the physical ASIC, allowing for early testing
and debugging of software
