SIMPLE PAST TENSE
SIMPLE PAST TENSE
adalah suatu bentuk tense yang menggambarkan suatu kejadian yang
terjadi pada suatu waktu di masa lampau. Kata kerja yang digunakan
pada tense ini harus berupa kata kerja kedua (verb2)
Penggunaan Simple Past
Tense
Menyatakan suatu kegiatan yang
terjadi di waktu lampau (tak
berhubungan dengan sekarang)
dengan waktu yang general
(umum).

Past Continuous Tense sering digunakan secara bersamaan dengan Past Tense.

Ketika dua tenses ini digunakan secara bersamaan, sering ditemukan


penggunaan kata while atau when. When biasanya diikuti oleh kata kerja Verb2
dan while diikuti oleh kalimat past continuous tense.

Pola kalimatnya menjadi:

- Past Continuous Tense + Conjunction (when) + Past Tense


- Contjunction (while) +Past Continuous Tense + , + Past Tense

Contoh :

★ I was studying when Abby called.


★ While I was studying, Abby called.
