MATHEMATICS FOR THE WORLD

Mathematics for Organization. A lot of events happen


around us. In the blink of an eye, several children have
already been born. We need a mathematical tools to
help us make sound analysis and better decisions.

Mathematics for Prediction. It is sometimes said that


history repeats itself. A much as we can use
mathematical models using existing data to generate
analysis and interpretations. We can also use them to
make predictions.
MATHEMATICS FOR THE WORLD

Mathematics for Control. We have demonstrated by


means of examples around us that patterns are
definitely present in the universe. There seems to be an
underlying mathematical structure in the way that
natural objects and phenomenon behave.

Mathematics is Indispensable. We already know how


mathematics plays a huge role in the underpinning of
our world. We have also looked at examples of how
mathematical concepts could be applied.
FIBONACCI SEQUENCE

The Fibonacci numbers are 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8,


13, 21 and so on. Sequence is an ordered list of
numbers, called terms.
The Fibonacci sequence, such that each
number is the sum of the two preceding ones,
starting from 0 and 1.

Fibonacci numbers are strongly related to


the golden ratio.

Let Fib(n) be the nth term of the Fibonacci
sequence, with Fib(1)=1, Fib(2)=1, Fib(3)=2, and
so on.
