Presentation On Copyrights

The presentation discusses copyright, which provides protection to creators of original works by giving them exclusive rights over the use of their work. Copyright is granted by law under the US Constitution and covers both published and unpublished works. The main rights authors have under copyright law are to make copies, distribute copies, publicly perform, publicly display, and create derivative works of their original content. Copyright protection applies automatically when a work is fixed in a tangible medium and covers literary, dramatic, musical and artistic works. The Teach Act provides additional rights for educators to display and perform others' copyrighted works in the classroom. The advantages of copyright include preventing monetary loss and protecting an author's reputation.

THE TECH ACT

educators with a separate set of rights in addition

Copyright Act, and apply to any original work an
educator wants to use.
