Having more than one antivirus program running on a computer at the same time
often causes conflicts, resulting in errors, slow performance, and failure to properly

RASONS are: SOLUTIONS
Before having your first lesson for the day, do the following steps:
1. Check your internet connection – make sure that you are using a LAN cable or wired for a much stable connection
RASONS are:
2. My connection goes wonky every day, so, unplug the modem and reboot it. Why? It’s being
bogged down by too many connections at once, which can happen if you download a lot.
RASONS are:
3. Go to search on your computer > Click the window button then letter “r” on your keyboard,
and the word “RUN” will automatically pops up on your screen > type %temp% and click ok >
delete all the unnecessary files that you see – need not worry, since all the files there are not
important. Next, check “DOWNLOADS,” “PICTURES,” and “DOCUMENTS.” You may delete the
files that you won’t be needing anymore. Then, click the “RECYCLE Bin” to delete all the files.
Finally, RESTART your desktop / laptop.
RASONS are:
4. Always run speedtest.
In AC, once the student is talking, it is using the download . Download speed - is a measure of how quickly
data or content can be transferred to your device over the network. Measured in Mbps,
e.g. Streaming a TV show or movie on NETFLIX
Then, once the teacher is talking, it is using the upload. “Upload speed” – is a measure of how quickly your
device can upload or content over the network, which is measured in Mbps.
e.g Posting a photo on Instagram or Facebook, or publishing a video on YouTube or Tiktok
Next, If ping is high, your talking and video will be affected. It means your message is not being delivered clearly
to your students, so there will be some delays . “PING” – is a signal to measure latency, or the time it takes for
data to travel from a device on one network to a device on another network. It is measured in milliseconds.

GETTING READY FOR YOUR FIRST LESSON?

Important note
RASONS are:
If you will be having a 30 minute break / 1 hour lunch – dinner, just turn off your computer
and let it rest. Computers are like humans, they also get tired. Then , remember to CLEAN
CACHE again once you will be attending to your booked slots , especially if you have
consecutive lessons .
Always check if you are well equipped to ensure that you are using the preferred
equipment in teaching.
Finally, just do the following steps regularly. Make it a habit to do it every day, so we can
all avoid penalties. Remember, we don’t have those technical support down the hall to
help or assist us. So we need to be the master of our own technology.
ONE BIG THING!
