Rotc Orientation

The purpose of the ROTC program is to teach students values like citizenship, leadership, community service, responsibility, and discipline. It prepares them for leadership roles and responsibilities as Filipino citizens. The objectives are to attract and prepare selected students to become commissioned officers, provide fundamental military concepts, and develop a strong sense of integrity, honor, and good citizenship. Grades are based on attendance (30%), subject proficiency (40%), and aptitude (30%). The basic ROTC curriculum covers subjects like military orientation, combat training, public information, civil affairs, drills and ceremonies. There are also classes of demerits for misconduct.

PURPOSE

TO TEACH STUDENTS THE VALUES OF


CITIZENSHIP, LEADERSHIP, SERVICE TO THE
COMMUNITY, PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND A
SENSE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT WHILE INSTILLING IN
THEM SELF-ESTEEM, TEAMWORK, AND SELF-
DISCIPLINE.
IT PREPARES STUDENTS FOR RESPONSIBLE
LEADERSHIP ROLES WHILE MAKING THEM AWARE
OF THEIR RIGHTS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND
PRIVILEGES STUDENTS AS FILIPINO CITIZENS.
IT PROVIDES INSTRUCTION AND REWARDING
OPPORTUNITIES THAT WILL BENEFIT THE
STUDENT, COMMUNITY, AND NATION.
OBJECTIVE
A. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ROTC PROGRAM ARE:

1. TO ATTRACT, MOTIVATE, AND PREPARE


SELECTED STUDENTS TO SERVE AS
COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN THE ACTIVE OR
RESERVE FORCE OF THE PHILIPPINE ARMY.

2. TO PROVIDE ROTC CADETS WITH


FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS PRINCIPLES OF
MILITARY ART SCIENCE TO DEVELOP
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGERIAL POTENTIAL
OBJECTIVE

3. TO DEVELOP STRONG SENSE OF PERSONAL


INTEGRITY, HONOR, RESPONSIBILITY, AND GOOD
CITIZENSHIP.

B. ATTAINMENT OF THE ROTC OBJECTIVES PREPARE


STUDENTS FOR A SOUND FOUNDATION FOR THEIR
FUTURE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND
EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS
