 Consider (someone or something) to be important or


beneficial; have a high opinion of.

 Principles or standards of behavior; one's judgement


of what is important in life.

 Principles that influence the development of beliefs


and attitudes.
Values

Something of worth; enduring beliefs or attitudes


about the worth of a person, object, idea, or action. 
They are important because they influence
decisions, actions, even nurse’s ethical decision
making.
Values Clarification

A process by which individuals identify, examine


and develop their own value.
Values clarification is a process by which people
identify and express their values.
A principle of values clarification is that no one
value set is right for everyone
Belief

 Beliefs (or opinions) are interpretations or


conclusion that people accept as true. They are
based on faith than fact and may or may not be
true.
 Good in society
BELIEF PATTERN

An acceptance that something exists or is true,


especially one without proof.

OR
Trust, faith or confidence in someone or something.
A BEHAVIOR RELATED TO VALVES

 Values are person's core belief about what they


consider most important.

 Usually values guide behavior. They are highly


relevant to establishing our individuality and
helping in our actions
Attitudes

 Attitudes are mental positions or feelings toward a


person, object or idea (e.g. acceptance,
compassion, openness).
 attitudes are often judged as bad or good, positive
or negative, where as beliefs are judged as correct
or incorrect.
