How to make a face mask at

home

The face mask and its utilities

So one thing is clear. We’ve been dealing with the corona virus for a while now. One essential
and very needed object nowadays is the face mask because it protects us from this virus and from
infecting others. So right now, our best defense is the mask, in addition to social distancing and
sanitizing our hands.
I think making your own masks could be a bit of a difficult job, but I promise that it’s really easy
and it’s going to save you some money. Also, you can do all types of fashionable masks out of
any materials that you have around your house. Even an old T-Shirt will work!
So let’s get into it!
Necessary things

You are going to need:


1. Your textile material of choice
2. Needle and thread
3. Scissors
4. Elastic band
How to make your face mask, on steps

1. Using the scissors, cut your desired fabric into a circular shape. For adults the diameter
of the circle should be 25-28 cm, for teens around 23 cm and for children around 20 cm.

2. Cut the circular shaped fabric material into 4 equally big pieces.

3. Sew all the pieces together, two by two, as in the video below.

4. Sew the two pieces obtained in the previous step, as in the video below.

You should leave a little space in between them to pull everything out.

5. After that, sew the little space that you`ve left in step 4, as in the video below. Leave
another space there, on each side, that is where the elastic band is going to go through.

6. And finally, pull the elastic bands through on both sides. Then, knot them. For adults, the
elastic band should be 20 cm long, for teens 18 cm and for children 15 cm.
You are done!!

And this is your new mask! I hope I made it clear. Now you see, you don’t need many things
to make a mask and it isn’t difficult either.
