Mixing Bowl
-Mixing bowl is used when preparing
cake mixture, salads, creams, and
sauces.
-Mixing bowls are used for storage,
mixing dry ingredients. They are also
used when preparing cake mixture,
salads, creams, and sauces.

Strainer
-Strainer is used for separating
liquids from fine or solid food
particles, such as coco cream
from coconut and tamarind
extract.
- Strainers could be in a spoon-
shaped or square (basket-style)
shaped.

Collander
-It is a perforated bowl of varying sizes
made of stainless steel, aluminum or
plastic, used to drain, wash, or cook
ingredients from liquid.
-Colander is a kitchen tool that used as
draining, washing or cook
ingredients from liquid.

Spoon
-Strainer is used for separating
liquids from fine or solid food
particles, such as coco cream
from coconut and tamarind
extract.
- Strainers could be in a spoon-
shaped or square (basket-style)
shaped.

-Butcher knife is used for cutting,


sectioning, and trimming raw meats.

-Wire whisk is used for beating
egg whites, egg yolk, creams and
mayonnaise.

-Tongs is used for handling
hot foods.

-Rubber per

butter, sugar, and egg from
the sides of the mixing bowl.

Sifter
-Sifter is used for separating coarse
particles of flour, sugar, baking
powder, and powdered ingredients to
retain finer textures.

Cooker
- It is used for cooking rice and other
foods.
14 Pressure Cooker
-Pressure cooker is used for tenderizing or
cooking meat, chicken, and other grains or
legumes, in lesser time.
-It is an airtight utensil for quick cooking or
preserving of foods by means of high-
temperature steam under pressure.
 
15 Saucepan
 
 
-Saucepan is any type of pan most
commonly used for heating sauces
and gravies. Saucepans are also made
to cook, sauté, and reheat various
foods such as rice, pasta and potatoes
-It is simply a circular pan that has high
sides and a long handle.
16 Double Boiler/ Steamer
 
-Double boiler is used for preparing sauces
which easily get scorched when cooked
directly on the stove.

-Steamer is used for


cooking food by
steaming.
