SUBJECTS
1. REALISM - PRESENTING SUBJECTS
AS THEY APPEAR IN REAL LIFE
2. ABSTRACTIONISM - Drawing away
from realism
DISTORTION ( CARICATURE)- SUBJECT IN A
MISHAPED FORM
MANGLING - (COLLAGE/MOSAIC)- The subject
with parts which are cut, lacerated, mutalated or
hacked with repeated blows.
ELONGATION - Presenting the
subject in an elongated form
CUBISM - Presenting the subject with the
use of cubes and other geometric figures.
ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONISM - Presenting the subject
with the use of strong color, uneven brush strokes
and rough texture
3. SURREALISM -Beyond Realism,
presenting the subjects as if the subject
does not form part of the real world.
4. SYMBOLISM - presenting the subject
symbolically, that is, the artist shows his
subject as it appears in real life.
5. FAUVISM - this is Optimistic
realism
6. DADAISM - This is shocking realism
7. EXPRESSIONISM - Emotional
realism
8. IMPRESSIONISM - this is realism
based on the artist’s impression.
9. FUTURISM - this is realism in the
future
