CONCEPT OF
ATTITUDE
Attitudes are evaluative statements. They represent
one’s feeling either favorably or unfavorably to persons,
objects or/and events.
 In other words, attitudes reflect how one feels about
something .
Formation of Attitude :

lead his subordinates and inspire them to
achieve organizational goals.

IMPORTANCE OF POLITICAL
BEHAVIOR AT WORKPLACE
Many managers report some use of political behavior is ethical, as long as it
doesn’t directly harm anyone else.
They describe politics as necessary and believe someone who never uses
political behavior will have a hard time getting things done.
 Most also indicate they have never been trained to use political behavior
effectively. Organizations have individuals and groups with different values,
goals, and interests.
This sets up the potential for conflict over the allocation of limited resources,
such as budgets, workspace, and salary and bonus pools.
HEALTHCARE MANAGEMENT &
ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
Healthcare is a service sector consisting of various industries .
In all these organizations individual and group performance are instrumental for the
success of the organization. In a hospital alone there are various groups of employees such as
doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, administrative staff and support staff.
However, all these groups need to perform at optimum level and cohesively to overcome
the obstacles.
Healthcare Management Professional should be able to assess the situation and the
underlying problems related to individual and group behaviour such as low motivation, poor
leadership, Inter and Intra conflicts, poor negotiations, creation and evaluation of high
performing teams etc.
The discipline of organizational behavior equips future management professionals to be well
prepared to solve such problems and to drive the organization towards success.
