Introduction
 Bangladesh's Liberation War is largely recognized as a turning
point in the country's struggle for independence.
 The importance of sector-3 in 1971 is highlighted in this
study. Between Churaman Kathi (near Sreemangal) and
Sylhet in the north and Singerbil in Brahmanbaria in the
south, this region is known as Churaman Kathi.

Operation in Belabo
Amid the independence war of 1971, not all the operations were on point. Amid the
war, a clash between freedom fighters and the Pakistani military took place in sector 3,
Belabo.
Rafiqul Islam
He is a lesser-known hero from sector 3. For his contribution and bravery, he is titled
“Bir Bikram.” He was slain in 1971 in the continuing struggle against the Pak Aggressors
in the Tangail area. Everyone should remember his name with due respect.
