Introduction
Signal: A physical phenomenon that conveys information
2.Reconstruction filter:
Reconstruction filter is used is used to construct a smooth
analog signal from DAC.
Ex: Min-Max filter, Gaussian filter.
Analog to Digital Converter(ADC)
1.Sampler:
• Converts continuous signal into a discrete time signal.
• To preserve the full information in the signal, it is necessary to sample at twice the maximum
frequency of the signal. This is known as the Nyquist rate.
Quantization
4.Encoder:
Encoder converts the quantized signals into a digital representation(bits).
Digital Signal processor:
• Digital Signal Processors (DSP) take real-world signals like voice, audio, video,
temperature, pressure, or position that have been digitized and then mathematically
manipulate them.
• DSP's can be programed.
Digital to Analog Converter(DAC):
◉ MORESUSCEPTIBLE TO NOISE
ANALOG ◉ DIFFICULT TO PROCESS IN DIGITAL DOMAIN
SIGNAL ◉ CANNOT BE STORED.
